RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for issuance of direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to trace out the original File No.117/SDM/99 with respect to Mutation No.13696 decided vide order dated 31.12.1999 by the Court of learned Assistant Collector Ist Grade, Nakodar, Jalandhar, District Jalandhar qua the estate of Shri Pritam Singh son of Sh.Shama Son of Sh.Devi Ditta, resident of village Ladhran, Tehsil Nakodar, District Jalandhar or to re-construct the same. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that mutation was sanctioned in favour of the petitioner but the concerned file is said to be missing. She submits that record is required and thus, file is to be produced for further necessary action, however, respondent/State has not produced the file only on the ground that the same is not traceable. Notice of motion.

He submits that representation, dated 21.02.2024, Annexure P-7, already filed by the petitioner before respondent No.2, would also be decided expeditiously.
After hearing learned counsel for the parties and in view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, to look into the representation, dated 21.02.2024, Annexure P-7, and decide the same expeditiously preferably within four weeks from today in accordance with law.
