This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to outbreak of the pandemic, COVID-19. Prayer in this writ petition is for seeking directions to respondents to release the payment due towards petitioner who is engaged in carrying out various works for government agencies/departments. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the works in question, as detailed in the writ petition (twelve), have been carried out and completed to the satisfaction of the authorities. There is no dispute about the same. Amount as claimed is admittedly due. Learned counsel further submits that legal notice(s) dated 15.03.2021/18.03.2021, Annexure P20 to P31 was/were served upon respondents in respect to each of the work done, but to no avail.

Mr. Sharan Sethi, Addl.AG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and does not raise any serious objection to the limited prayer addressed. Advance copy of the writ petition stand served. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as well as the limited prayer addressed, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to decide legal notice(s) dated 15.03.2021/18.03.2021, Annexure P20 to P31, in accordance with law by passing a speaking order, within a period of two months from date of receipt of certified copy of the order. In case any payment is found due towards the petitioner, the same be released to him within six weeks thereafter .
