(ORAL) Petitioner is seeking quashing of order dated 12.10.2022 (Annexure P-12) passed by learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Chandigarh, whereby the petitioner had been declared as proclaimed offender in case FIR No.177 dated 11.11.2021 under Sections 420, 120-B of the IPC registered at Police Station Sector 34, Chandigarh. 2.

Learned standing counsel appearing for the U.T. Chandigarh has at the outset submitted that the petitioner has been declared a proclaimed offender in multiple cases. In one of the cases, the petitioner had earlier approached this Court by way of CRM-M-21219-2023, whereby she had been granted time to appear before the trial Court concerned within a stipulated time frame and had also been given interim protection, however, she for reasons best known, had chosen to disregard the orders of this Court as it was a matter of record that till date, she had not appeared and surrendered PUNEET SACHDEVA 2024.10.04 16:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M-21215-2023 (O&M) -2before the Court concerned. Learned counsel has submitted that as on date, the petitioner continues to be a proclaimed offender in all the three cases, which stand registered against her. Learned standing counsel for U.T. Chandigarh has drawn the attention of this Court to the reply dated 23.05.2023, wherein the order passed by this Court in CRM-M-212192023 titled as Anju Chowdhary Versus State of UT Chandigarh and another stands reproduced.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has not been able to dispute that despite the orders passed by this Court in CRM-M-21219-2023 way back on 27.04.2023, till date, the petitioner has failed to appear and surrender before the trial Court. 4.
