Through this instant petition under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, prayer has been made to issue directions to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur (respondent no.3) to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner. Prayer has also been made to direct official respondents nos 4 and 5 not to harass and humiliate the petitioner. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur (respondent no.3) to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 29.9.2017 (Annexure P-2), by passing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
