This is a petition under Sections 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of FIR No.78 dated 14.9.2014 registered under Sections 420,506 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Rangar Nangal, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur, along with all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise. 2.

Statements of parties concerned were recorded by Judicial Magistrate, Batala in terms of order dated 20.1.2015 passed by this Court. Statement of complainant has been recorded who states that she has no grudge against the petitioner and does not want to take any action in the FIR. The Magistrate also recorded his satisfaction that the compromise had been entered into between the parties without any pressure etc.  3.

The case is still pending investigation and charge sheet is not filed in court.

Counsel for the parties have stated that the parties have compromised the matter.

In view of this, there should not be any impediment in allowing the parties to compromise the matter. Support to this view can be had from the authority Madan Mohan Abbot Vs. State of Punjab, 2008 (2) RCR (Criminal) 429, wherein Hon'ble the Supreme Court has ruled that in such type of cases where the dispute is of personal nature, Court should ordinarily accept the compromise. 6.

In view of the facts delineated above, the petition is accepted. The above said FIR and the proceedings connected therewith are hereby quashed. 7.

Disposed of.
