Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution praying for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect life and liberty of petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 22. 2.

Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1 to 3 at this stage. 3.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Manjot Kaur, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the aforesaid respondents. Learned State Counsel, after obtaining instructions from the quarter concerned, apprised the Court that petitioners can approach the Authorities concerned at "Sakhi One Stop Centre", District Gurdaspur on Mobile No. 98888-96144 or Landline No.01874-240165, available 24 x 7.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed off with liberty to petitioners to approach the quarter concerned. 5.

Needless to say that in case the occasion so arises, petitioners would be at liberty to avail the remedy as per law. 6.

If any criminal case is pending against petitioner No.2, this order shall not be treated as any hindrance for the Investigating Officer to proceed in accordance with law.
