Petitioner apprehends threat to her life and liberty at the hands of her divorced husband respondent No.4. In this context, she has filed an application to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur and SHO, Talwara, District Hoshiarpur, a copy of which has been placed on record as Annexure P1.

Notice to the Advocate General, Punjab.

On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Ms.H.K.Athwal, DAG., Punjab, present in the the Court. Copy given.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to the SSP, Hoshiarpur, to look into the grievance of the petitioner to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioner is not infringed on account of any act of respondent No.4, in any manner. It will be appreciated in case the appropriate decision is taken on the application of the petitioner within period of two months after the receipt of a certified copy of the order.
