(Oral) It is contended that petitioner No.1 - Amung Devi, aged about 25 years, has got married with petitioner No.2- Mohit, aged about 24 years, against the wishes of her father - Shiv Kumar, mother - Parmjeet Kaur and brother - Aman Kumar, arrayed as private respondents No. 4 to 6, respectively, who are threatening to interfere in their marital life, as such to seek protection in that regard, the petitioners have approached this Court by way of filing the present petition.

CRM-M-40209 of 2017 -2Advocate General, Haryana, has accepted notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 and 2. Whereas, respondents No. 5 and 6 have appeared alongwith their counsel Mr. K. Arun Singh, Advocate. Respondents No. 5 and 6 alongwith their counsel state that such respondents are agreeable to the marriage between the petitioners. They have neither interfered in their marital life nor would they do so.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that petitioners have got genuine apprehension of being harmed at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6.

Under these circumstances, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambala, to look into the grievances of the petitioners and to take necessary measures to ensure that lives and liberty of the petitioners are not jeopardized at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6 or persons claiming under them.

However, this order shall not validate the marriage between the petitioners and shall not have any effect on any civil or criminal action to which the petitioners may be found liable, under the law.
