HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Prayer is for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.210 dated 25.11.2020 under Sections 379-B/411 IPC registered at P.S Sahnewal, District Ludhiana.

As per allegations in the FIR, a secret information was received that Kulwinder Singh @ Billa, Amritpal Singh @ Akshay, Amardeep Singh @ Deep (petitioner) and Gursimranjeet Singh @ Guri used to carry passengers in their Auto and take them to various isolated places so as to snatch their mobiles etc under threat. Based on the information, naka was laid. The petitioner and co-accused were apprehended along with three wheeler. Two mobiles were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. During interrogation, it was found that those mobiles had been snatched from different people. During investigation, the petitioner was identified by Rajat Garg and Daljit Singh, who stated that the petitioner had snatched their mobiles.

The investigation in this case is complete and the petitioner has been in custody since 25.11.2020.

CRM-M-24865 of 2021 #2# Without commenting anything on the merits of the case and also bearing in mind the custody period coupled with the fact that no other similar case is pending against him, in my opinion, no useful purpose will be served by detaining the petitioner behind bars any further. The petition, as such, is accepted. The petitioner Amardeep Singh is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
