Mr.Sandeep Dhull, Advocate for respondent No.3. ARUN MONGA,J. (ORAL) Petition was filed in the year 2003, inter alia, seeking quashing of impugned order dated 09.04.2003 (Annexure P-9) being illegal. Further prayer has been made to transfer the petitioner in office of respondent No.2 as Deputy Superintendent.

Petition was admitted on 30.08.2005.

When called out for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for about 19 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same.

Since owing to the age of superannuation, petitioner has already retired, his grievance qua the promotion stands already mitigated and no further indulgence and/or proceedings are required before this Court qua the same.

Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
