Learned State counsel seeks to place on record reply by way of affidavit of Harpal Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City-I, Patiala. Prayer is accepted. Same is taken on record. Pursuant to order dated November 30, 2015, statement of the parties has been recorded. However, counsel for respondent no. 2 submits that in view of judgment delivered by this court in CRM M-24864 of 2015 titled as Satnam Dilbagh Singh vs. State of Punjab & ors. decided on 02.12.2015, respondent no. 2 has no authority to enter into compromise on behalf of the State. In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
