(ORAL) Learned counsel for the appellant submits that since admittedly and undisputedly no avenues of promotion have been provided to Lab Technicians in the Department of Plastic Technology and though the appellant has been working in the Department for the last more than 26 years, she is stagnating on the same post, therefore, in view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Food Corporation of India and others Vs Parashotam Das Bansal and others 2008(1) SCT 769, the respondent-authorities be directed to consider her representation for creation of promotional avenues for persons similarly situated as the appellant.

Learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, submits that such a representation, if filed by the appellant, would be considered and decided by the respondent-authorities expeditiously in accordance with law. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned counsel for the appellant as well as the statement of learned State counsel, the appeal stands disposed of in terms thereof.
