This is a petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking pre-arrest bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 64 dated 28.07.2014 under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Sekhwan, Batala, District Gurdaspur.
Complaint was registered on the basis of allegation that petitioner duped the complainant and took `4,90,000/- money promising to send son of complainant to Canada. After the amount was handed-over to the petitioner, he neither sent son of the complainant abroad nor returned the amount.
In view of nature of allegations, I am of the considered view that no case for grant of pre-arrest bail is made out. Dismissed.
