Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is no more required in this case.

Reply dated 17.05.2026 by way of affidavit of Mr. Harvinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Sunam, Udham Singh Wala, District Sangrur, filed on behalf of respondent-State is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned State counsel has not refuted the aforesaid assertions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and further, on instructions from ASI Gurbachan MANISHA 2026.05.29 10:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-17862-2026 -2Singh, submits that the petitioner is not required by the police for further investigation or custodial interrogation. He further submitted that investigation of the present case has been completed and final report under Section 193 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short - 'the BNSS') has been filed.

Mr. H.S. Randhawa, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the complainant and filed his vakalatnama after obtaining 'no objection' from the previous counsel. The same is taken on record. 4.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and order of interim bail dated 02.04.2026 is hereby made absolute, subject to the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
