Tribhuvan Dahiya, J (Oral) The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to set aside the final result for selection to the post of PGT (Hindi), dated 07.03.2024, in response to advertisement No.41 of 2023.

It has been pleaded that the petitioner, who belongs to ESM category, was not considered for selection. Learned counsel for the Commission, on instructions from Mr. Tarsem, contends that petitioner duly participated in the selection process, as apparent from the list of detailed marks of candidates, Annexure P-8. He secured 40.90 marks as a DESM category candidate. The candidates at Serial Nos.33 and 42 belonging to ESM/DESM category, having secured more marks (47.36 and 41.86 respectively) than those of the petitioner, were recommended for AVIN KUMAR 2024.05.13 18:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this judgment/order.

Learned counsel also submits that last selected candidate bearing Roll No.5195 in the General category has secured 47.56 marks and, accordingly, petitioner's plea of migrating Saroj Devi (candidate at Sr. No.33) to General category is not maintainable. 3.

On the first date of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner sought an adjournment; on the next date also, an adjournment was sought by circulating a written request on his behalf, and the matter was adjourned to 06.05.2024. On that day also, he sought an adjournment and the matter was adjourned to today.

None appears on behalf of the petitioner today, nor is there any denial to the submissions made by learned counsel for the Commission. 5.

In view thereof, there is no ground to entertain the petition. 6.

Dismissed.
