The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5 by considering the representation dated 29.03.2025 (Annexure P-7) filed by the petitioner. Further respondents No.4 and 5 be directed not to harass the petitioner and his family members unnecessarily in any manner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner married with respondent No.4, Sarabjeet Kaur, on 26.10.2007, and they have three daughters namely Simranpreet Kaur, Anahatpreet Kaur, and Sehajpreet Kaur. The petitioner worked abroad in Dubai for several years, for financially supporting his family. However, in the year 2024, the petitioner came to know about the illicit relationship of respondent No. 4 with respondent No.5 - Jasneet Singh, which led to significant marital discord. CRWP-3515-2025 violence, despite the petitioner's absence during the time the alleged incidents occurred. Additionally, respondent No.4 filed a divorce petition. The petitioner, fearing harm to himself and his children, sought legal protection and filed a representation dated 29.03.2025 (Annexure P-7), before the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Gurdaspur and despite filing the said representation, no action has been taken so far. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 29.03.2025 (Annexure P-7) submitted by the petitioner in a time bound manner. 4.

Notice of motion to the official respondents only. 5.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 - State. Learned counsel for the petitioner is directed to supply copy of complete paperbook to counsel opposite during the course of the day. 6.

Keeping in view the prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 29.03.2025 (Annexure P-7) submitted by the petitioner within a period of 04 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
