Prayer made in the present petition is for considering the services of the petitioners during contractual period in Rural Development in Panchayat Department for entry into Punjab Medical Education System cadre. 2.

Learned counsel would contend that regarding the claim raised in the present petition, representations dated 05.04.2024, Annexure P-6, have been submitted, which have yet not evoked any response. He, on instructions, prays that a direction may be given to respondent No.2 to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection. 3.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representations dated 05.04.2024, Annexure P-6, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
