The petitioner is seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No.3 and 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondents No.6 to 8, who have not only extended the threats of dire consequences but also trespassed into her house after demolishing one of the walls.

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed off with a direction to the official respondents to consider and decide her complaint/ representation dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-6) filed by her in accordance with law.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, Barnala, to look into the complaint/representation dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-6) and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
