State of Punjab and another ....Respondents

CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE RITU BAHRI Present:- Mr. K.S. Manraj, Advocate for Mr. Aman Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner.

Ms. Manpreet Dhaliwal, AAG, Punjab.

Mr. Sarvesh Malik, Advocate for respondent No.2.

**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.30 dated 19.03.2016, under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC, registered at Police Station Women Cell, Patiala, on the basis of compromise deed dated 10.01.2017 (Annexure P-2). Brief facts of the case are that marriage between the petitioner and respondent No.2 was solemnized on 19.04.2014, as per Hindu Rites and Ceremonies. Out of the said wedlock, no child was born out. Due to incompatibility of temperament, both the parties could not live together as husband and wife. The relationship between them became strained and thereafter, the F.I.R was registered against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the peace and harmony, the matter has now been amicably settled between the parties with the intervention of respectable persons, vide compromise deed dated 10.01.2017 (Annexure P-2)..
