(Oral) The petitioner seeks grant of the anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in a case bearing FIR No.0065 dated 14.04.2022 under Sections 454, 380 IPC and Section 413 IPC (added later on) registered at Police Station Division No.7, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the interim order dated 27.05.2022 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation.

A status report dated 13.07.2022 filed on behalf of the respondent-State is taken on record.

The learned State counsel submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation in terms of the order dated 27.05.2022 and is not required for custodial interrogation.

The learned counsel for the complainant vehemently opposes the prayer for the anticipatory bail stating that the petitioner is a habitual SUKHPREET KAUR 2022.08.31 20:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

offender. On query, she is unable to clarify as to why the anticipatory bail to the petitioner is to be cancelled.

In this view of the matter, interim order dated 27.05.2022 is made absolute.

However, the petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and he shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

The petition stands disposed of.
