#(  /012 23  Present : Mr. Ashish Verma, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. K. S. Aulakh, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab. Respondent No.2 in person along with Mr. Raajan Soni, Advocate.

     The instant petition is for quashing of FIR No.146 dated 11.08.2015 registered under Sections 323, 324, 4982A, 148, 149, 506, 307 and 406 IPC at Police Station City Samana, District Patiala and the consequent proceedings arising out of the same, on the basis of written compromise (Annexure P22) arrived at between the parties. Report has been received from learned Mediator. Learned Mediator has also sent the original settlement/agreement effected between the parties.

Learned counsel for the State on instructions submits that petitioners are the only accused and respondent no.2 is the only aggrieved person in this FIR.

      No useful purpose would be served to keep the FIR pending.

In view of the settlement/agreement and report of the Mediator and the principles laid down by the Full Bench judgment of this Court in

 , the instant petition is allowed and the aforesaid FIR and all consequent proceedings conducted on the basis thereof are quashed qua the petitioners.
