HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) The petition has been taken for hearing through video conference due to Covid-19 pandemic.

In the present petition, the petitioner is praying for the grant of parole for the period of two months as per the provisions of Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners Temporary Release Act 1988 so that the petitioner, who is suffering from Coronary Artery Disease and Unstable Angina, can get medical treatment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the said purpose, the petitioner has already made an application to the Superintendent District Jail-I, Hisar on 28.06.2020 (Annexure P-4) and the said application is still pending consideration with the said authority and the petitioner will be satisfied at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the Superintendent District Jail-I, Hisar for disposing of the application of the petitioner dated 28.06.2020 (Annexure P-4) by passing an appropriate order.

CRWP-5262-2020 At the asking of the Court, Mr. Munish Sharma, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and states that the Superintendent District Jail-I, Hisar will pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner dated 28.06.2020 (Annexure P-4) within a period of two weeks from today if not already decided. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that keeping in view the undertaking given by learned State counsel of passing appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner wherein, the petitioner is seeking benefit of parole on health grounds, petitioner does not wish to press this petition any further but liberty be granted to approach this Court in case, the request of the petitioner is not accepted by the respondents. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been not pressed.

In case, the petitioner is aggrieved against the order passed, he will be at liberty to avail appropriate remedy for the redressal of his grievance.
