Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to grant sanction for extension of service to the petitioners as they are working for more than 10 years on D.C. rates.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioners have been working on Class-IV post, having been appointed through proper procedure for the last 10 years and have been granted extension from time to time. He submits that the since the petitioners had approached this Court by way of filing CWP-4672-2025, Annexure P-6, for issuance of directions to respondents to grant regularisation of their services, which was disposed of on 19.02.2025 to decide the legal notice dated 19.12.2024 within 6 months, however, extension to them have not been granted after 31.03.2025, though they are still working as per his instructions. In this regard, a legal notice dated 24.03.2025, Annexure P-7 has been served upon respondents, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the MOHIT 2025.04.08 09:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned State counsel on instructions from Jai Singh, concerned Senior Assistant, Higher Education states that the matter to grant extension in service to the petitioners is under active consideration and a decision thereon shall be taken by the competent authority within a period of 3 weeks, which satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioners.
