*** This petition for regular bail has been filed by petitioner Harpal Singh, an accused in F.I.R. No. 84 dated 5.11.2016 for offences under Sections 302 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code registered with Police Station Jodhan, Ludhiana on the allegations that on intervening night of 4/5th November, 2016, in the area of village Sahouli, he committed murder of his daughter Harjit Kaur, while strangulating her and besides criminally intimidating her wife Jaswinder Kaur. He was arrested in this case and thereafter sent to face trial. It is stated that during the trial, the only eye witness of the incident Jaswinder Kaur has not supported the prosecution story.

Learned State counsel informed that out of 17 witnesses 9 prosecution witnesses have been examined. Since the eyewitnesses have not supported the prosecution story, the trial Court may examine the desirability Parvinder Singh 2017.12.19 16:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M No. 40829 of 2017 of recording statements of the other relevant eyewitnesses only instated of examining each and every witness cited by the prosecution. Then the trial be concluded expeditiously preferable within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order in that Court. The State counsel states that the prosecution would cause appearance of the witnesses summoned by the trial Court. Let it be so done. However, the present petition stands dismissed. (H.S.
