The matter has been taken up through video conferencing in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Learned State counsel has sent custody certificate of the petitioner through E-mail, hardcopy whereof has been placed on record. At this stage, it has been stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that challan in the present case has been presented in the trial Court on 04.09.2020 but however, charge has not yet been framed. Since, this case relates to the prosecutrix having 10 weeks' pregnancy, at the time of registration of the case, therefore, an endeavour should be made by the trial Court to record the statement of the prosecutrix and her mother expeditiously.
