(Oral) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. is for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and not to harass them at the instance of respondent Nos.4 and 5.

The petitioners have got married against the wishes of their parents. They are stated to be major. In support of her proof of age petitioner No.1 has placed on record an extract of her Adhaar Card (Annexure P-1) wherein her date of birth is mentioned as 01.11.1997 and petitioner No.2 has also placed on record an extract of his Adhaar Card(Annexure P-2) depicting his date of birth as 06.12.1985. They have also moved a representation before the Superintendent of Police, Sirsa (Annexure P-5) for protection of their life and liberty. CRM-M-40821-2015 -2Respondent No.4, who is the father of the girl, has appeared through counsel and states that he wanted to meet his daughter. He is allowed to meet her in my chamber but the girl states that she does not want to go to her parents and apprehends threat to her life and to the life of her husband i.e. petitioner No.2. Both the petitioners prayed that they be sent to Protection Home, UT, Chandigarh. In view of the threat perception apprehended by the petitioners it is directed that they both be sent to Protection Home, UT, Chandigarh and be kept there till they perceive the threat. Senior Superintendent of Police, UT, Chandigarh is directed to provide protection to them during their stay at Protection Home, UT, Chandigarh.

Without adverting to the merits of the controversy, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, Superintendent of Police, Sirsa to take appropriate action on the said representation (Annexure P-5).

Since the main case has been decided, the pending Criminal Misc. Application, if any, also stands disposed of. A copy of this order be handed over dasti to learned Standing Counsel for UT, Chandigarh under the signatures of the Court Secretary.
