Coram:

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Inderjit Singh .....

Present:

Mr. Harchand Singh Batth, Advocate for the petitioner. .....

Inderjit Singh, J.

The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.270 dated 8.10.2014 registered for the offence under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Patti, District Tarn Taran.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

As per the FIR on 2.6.2010, Ranjit Singh-present petitioner met the complainant and asked if he was interested he could be sent abroad. As per per the allegation in the FIR `3,30,000/- were taken by the accused/ petitioner from the complainant and handed him over one fake VISA of Cyprus. Neither the petitioner was sent abroad nor the money was returned. HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2015.12.08 09:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-40867 of 2015 [2] It is also the allegation that the accused is threatening the complainant consistently.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence and the fact that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where the present petitioner is entitled to the benefit of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
