1. The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents so as to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents i.e. respondents No.4 to 17.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Farman Ahamad son of petitioner No.3 Ismail had solemnized marriage with Varseena daughter of respondent No.4-Sahbuddin against the wishes of family of Varseena constraining Farman Ahamad and Varseena to approach this Court by way of filing CRWP-1706-2023 so as to seek protection wherein certain directions were issued by this Court vide order dated 22.2.2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the private respondents who are relatives of Varseena have ever since been threatening the petitioners to cause harm being aggrived by the fact that daughter of respondent No.4 had MOHAN SINGH 2023.05.09 16:13 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-4433-2023 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2023:PHHC:066279 married son of petitioner No.3 against the wishes of her family. Learned counsel has submitted that although a representation dated 16.4.2023 (Annexure P-4) had been submitted by petitioner No.1, but to no avail.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, District Nuh, to get the representation dated 16.4.2023 (Annexure P-4) examined qua the limited extent of the alleged threat perception of the petitioners in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon.

5. A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 16.4.2023 (Annexure P-4) be sent to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, District Nuh, for necessary compliance.
