In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to decide the mercy petition filed by the petitioner against the order dated 16.10.2023 (Annexure P-3), vide which the representation submitted by the petitioner against the adverse remarks recorded in the ACR for the period from 27.04.2018 to 20.02.2019 has been rejected.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that the petitioner submitted a mercy petition dated 26.10.2025 (Annexure P-6); however, no decision has been taken by the competent authority till date. 3.

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondents to decide the mercy petition dated 26.10.2025 (Annexure P-6) submitted by the petitioner, in a time bound manner. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the mercy petition dated 26.10.2025 (Annexure P-6), submitted by the petitioner within a period of 04 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law. 7.

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
