(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to the official respondents not to unnecessarily harass the petitioner at the instance of the private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that a civil litigation is pending between the petitioner and private respondents No.5 to 7 in respect of a house and that other private respondents No.8 to 10 are spouses of respondents No.5 to 7 and respondent No.11 is son of respondent No.5. It has been submitted that the private respondents are trying to unnecessarily harass and pressurize the petitioner by way of lodging some MOHAN SINGH 2022.05.25 05:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-23029-2022 (O&M) - 2 - false complaint with the police on the basis of which she has been repeatedly called to the police station by respondent No.4. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Bathinda, to ensure that the petitioner is not repeatedly called to the police station and is not unnecessarily harassed. In case, any information is to be elicited from her, then a prior written notice be issued to her.

It is however, clarified that the aforesaid directions are not to be construed or to confer any kind of immunity upon the petitioner, in case it is found that she has committed any wrong.

A copy of this order be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, District Bathinda (respondent No.2) so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
