(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking protection of life and liberty as the petitioner apprehends threat at the hands of the private respondents. Status report by way of affidavit of Jitender Singh, DSP, JindJulana, District Jind (respondent No.5) has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 6 today in Court, which is taken on record. Copy supplied. As per the same, stand of the State reads as under : "17.

That regarding protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and granting appropriate police assistance while obtaining access to the house in order to take out essential items and action on the representations dated 18.10.2023, Annexure P-3, and dated 18.01.2024, Annexure P-4, of the petitioner, it is submitted that the complaint dated 18.10.2023, after enquiry was filed as there was no apprehension of danger to the life of the petitioner, who is residing Deepak Kumar 2024.05.15 08:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

However, in the last week of November, 2023 (actual date is not known) the petitioner has visited at her house for taking out essential items and at that time the then Station House Officer, Police Station Julana alongwith colleague officials visited and granted protection to the petitioner. At that time, there was no apprehension of danger to the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents. So far as other representation dated 18.01.2024, Annexure P-4, is concerned, in this regard it is submitted that the petitioner was telephonically contacted for joining her in the enquiry and on asking the petitioner disclosed that she shall inform the police about the date of her visit in village and at that time she shall got record her statement in this regard.

As a result of which this representation has been kept pending for enquiry. However, at present there is no apprehension of danger to the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members, in the territorial jurisdiction of district Jind. However, protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members shall be made, in accordance with law." In view thereof, no further order is warranted. Petition stands disposed off accordingly.
