Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioners seek grant of anticipatory bail, in case FIR No.22 dated 08.03.2024, under Sections 323, 341, 506, 148, 149 of the IPC (Section 307 of the IPC added subsequently), registered at P.S. Moonak, District Sangrur.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present FIR, however, even if the allegations are taken to be a gospel truth, yet the injury(ies) attributed to the petitioner is "simple in nature", inasmuch as, he is alleged to have given only fist blow(s) on left eye of the complainant. Moreover, as per the FIR itself, the petitioner was empty handed at the time of alleged occurrence.
