 . %/ )0 The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, 1950 seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent No.1 for filling up the vacant posts of Presiding Officer in Central Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court-1 Chandigarh and Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court-2, Chandigarh.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the Presiding Officer for Central Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court-1 Chandigarh has already been appointed and he is also holding the charge of Presiding Officer, Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court-2, Chandigarh and as such, the present petition has become infructuous.
