Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that son of petitioners namely Sandeep Kumar Bhalla is required in case FIR No.61 dated 26.03.2019 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 325, 323, 120-B, 148, 149 of Indian Penal Code at Police Station Civil Lines, Bathinda. The petitioners, because of conduct of their son, sworn affidavit dated 27.04.2012 that they have no concern with their son and have disinherited him from their property. The police, despite having knowledge of this, is harassing the petitioners time and again. Learned State counsel submits that son of petitioners is involved in 8 criminal cases. He is absconding and police is raiding his hideouts including his house in order to apprehend him. The petitioners have not been harassed in this case. Only inquiries are being made from them about the whereabouts of their son.

CRM-M-19959-2019 -2In view of the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioners and learned State counsel, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda to look into the grievance of petitioners, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
However, nothing contained in this order shall restrict the police action required for apprehending son of petitioners. The police, if so required, can also search the house of petitioners and make requisite enquiries.
