**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Grievance of the petitioner is that being a government contractor, he has completed the work assignment to the satisfaction of the competent authority. Even defect liability period has also expired, but balance payment towards principal and security amount has not been released so far. Petitioner has already represented before respondent No.3 on 18.11.2021, but the same remain unattended by the said authority.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied in case its representation is directed to be decided by respondent No.3 by passing a speaking order in accordance with law at the earliest. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Anil Mehta, Sr. Panel Counsel, UT, Chandigarh accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.5 to consider the pending representation dated 18.11.2021 got issued by the petitioner and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. If the claim of the petitioner is established with reference to record, then the payment be released to the petitioner forthwith.

If the claim of the petitioner is found to be not sustainable, then a copy of decision be supplied to the petitioner at the earliest.
