The case has been taken up for hearing through video conferencing on account of Covid-19 pandemic. The instant petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to decide the representation submitted by the petitioner wherein he had raised a grievance that illegal and un-authorized construction has been raised in the vicinity of his locality by shopkeepers and house owners.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a resident of Dedraj Mohalla, Jind. The respondents and shopkeepers of the area around the said Mohalla have encroached upon and made illegal construction on the land belonging to Municipal Council, Jind-respondent No.4. He has referred to the list of demarcation report dated 13.11.2016 (Annexure P-1) whereby the names of the encroachers and the area unauthorizedly occupied by them, has been specified. On the asking of the Court, Mr.Deepak Manchanda, Additional Advocate General, Haryana who is available on conference call, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He does not oppose the prayer made by counsel for the petitioner.

Without examining the averments made in the writ petition or the claim raised by the petitioner and his representation, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to decide the representationAnnexure P-3 submitted by the petitioner and take suitable action, in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
