This petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for the grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.112 dated 2.7.2008 registered for the offences under Sections 323, 341, 506, 148 and 149 IPC at Police Station `C'-Division, Amritsar, District Amritsar. Notice of motion was issued in this case.

Mr. V.P.S. Sidhu, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab put in appearance on behalf of the State and contested this bail petition. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. The FIR in the present case has been registered for the offences Harpal Singh Parmar 2017.04.27 16:46 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-42321 of 2016 [2] under Sections 323, 341, 506, 148 and 149 IPC on 2.7.2008. From the record, I find that fresh publication was issued by the Court on 15.10.2013 and within 30 days i.e. on 8.11.2013, the present petitioner had been declared as proclaimed offender.

At this stage, without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of this case and keeping in view the nature of the offences, I find it a fit case whether the petitioner is entitled to the benefit of anticipatory bail. Therefore, this petition is allowed. However, the petitioner is ordered to surrender before the learned Illaqa Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar, within 15 days then he be released on anticipatory bail subject to its satisfaction.
