**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) In the present writ petition, the claim which is being made by the petitioner is that in respect of the service which her late husband, namely, Yaad Ram, had performed with the office of Employees Provident Funds, Punjab.
As per the averments made in the writ petition, husband of the petitioner died on 23.10.2009 and by the said date he had sufficient service to his credit for which the petitioner was entitled for the benefits after his death.
Counsel for the petitioner states that for the relief which has been sought in the present writ petition, the petitioner has served the respondents with a legal notice on 18.03.2019 (Annexure P-6), which is NARESH KUMAR 2019.05.08 11:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CWP-11612-2017 -2still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said legal notice by passing an appropriate speaking order.
In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the legal notice dated 18.03.2019 (Annexure P-6) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
