Keeping in view the averments made in the application, the same is allowed and Annexures A-1 to A-3 are taken on record. CWP-10778-2020 The prayer of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the petitioner, who is known by the name Babru Bhan intends to change his name as Babru Bhan Singh. The petitioner is praying that direction be issued to the respondent-State of Haryana to publish the change of his name in the Government Gazette.

CWP No. 10778 of 2020 (O&M) Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner very fairly states that even as per Annexure A2, certain requirements have been prescribed for the change of name, which are yet to be fulfilled by the petitioner.
That being so, no direction can be issued at this stage. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner be allowed to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the respondent-State of Haryana after completion of the required formalities by filing a fresh appropriate application for the change of the name, as being sought by the petitioner.
Learned Additional Advocate General, Haryana submits that in case, petitioner files an application before the competent authority alongwith all the requisite information as required under law, the application so received, will be considered in accordance with law and an appropriate order will be passed on the same within a period of four weeks from the receipt of the said application.
Keeping in view the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court in the present writ petition. The present writ petition is disposed of having been withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner as prayed for.
