The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 0025 dated 13.02.2024 under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Focal Point, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana.

After arguing vehemently on the merits of the case and finding that this Court is not inclined to grant the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner on account of his antecedents, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition, with liberty to surrender before the trial Court and in case, the petitioner applies for the grant of regular bail, the same be decided expeditiously. In light of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn and the petitioner is directed to surrender before the trial Court within one week from today and in case, he applies for grant of regular bail thereafter the same be decided expeditiously in accordance with law and on its own merits.
