Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.749 dated 2.7.2016 under Sections 498A/406/354/34 IPC registered at Police Station Chandni Bagh, Panipat, Haryana. It is submitted that the parties who were referred for mediation have amicably resolved the entire dispute between them. The settlement/agreement dated 13.02.2017 arrived at between the parties before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court is on record. CRM No.M-42472 of 2016 [2] The complainant in this case Harjit Kaur (duly identified by the Investigating Officer ASI Rajbir Singh) is present in Court as well. The complainant affirms the factum of settlement between the parties. It is stated that she has no objection to the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in the abovementioned circumstances.

Learned counsel for the State informs that the petitioner has joined investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation. Keeping in view of the facts and circumstances but without commenting upon or expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed. Consequently, order dated 29.11.2016 is made absolute. ( LISA GILL ) March 17 , 2017.
