(Oral) The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner who is stated to be the Sarpanch of the newly elected Gram Panchayat, Littan with a prayer seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No.3 and 4 to provide and hand over the charge of the Gram Panchayat Littan along with the records to the newly elected Gram Panchayat of Village Littan.

Learned State counsel on instructions from Mr. Narinder Singh, BDPO (Block Development and Panchayat Officer), Nadala, District Kapurthala, submits that the charge as well as the records already stand handed over to the newly elected Panchayat/Sarpanch. 3.

CWP-10464-2025 (O&M) -2with liberty to the petitioner to apply in writing to the concerned Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Nadala, District Kapurthala as regards the documents/records which have not been received by him. In case, any such application is submitted by the petitioner, the concerned Block Development and Panchayat Officer shall look into it and pass a speaking order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such application from the petitioner.
