(ORAL) Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing This petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 8. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Mehakpetitioner No. 2 is a minor and is now residing with Parveen Saini-petitioner No. 1. He further submits that in compliance of the order dated 30.7.2020, the petitioners were taken to the protection home. Learned counsel also submits that the parents of petitioner No. 2-Mehak had a conversation with her through video conferencing and they were satisfied and now both are residing in the house of petitioner No. 1.

Learned State counsel submits that the area police has recorded the statement of Parveen Saini-petitioner No. 1 on 25.8.2020 wherein Parveen Saini-petitioner No. 1 has stated that he along with MehakGURPREET SINGH 2020.08.27 15:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chadigarh

CRWP No. 5405 of 2020 -2petitioner No. 2 are residing in his house peacefully and they do not have any threat from the family of petitioner No. 2. Keeping in view the above, no further order is required to be passed.

The petition stands disposed of.
