The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to official respondents Nos. 1 to 3 to conclude the investigation and present the challan in FIR No. 10 dated 14.01.2024 under Sections 323, 341, 427, 506, 148, 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Sections 307 and 120-B IPC added later on), registered at Police Station City-II, Malerkotla.

After arguing vehemently on the merits of the case, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition as he wishes to take appropriate recourse in accordance with law including that available to him under Section 156 (3) Cr.P.C. 3.

As regards the prayer for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members is concerned, the State is duty bound to look into the same and no specific orders are required to be passed qua the PARUL 2024.05.04 14:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document same.

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn, with the aforesaid liberty.
