The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue him passport.

Ms. Shreyansi Verma, Central Government Counsel, at the outset, submits that application of the petitioner is under active consideration before the Regional Passport Officer, Chandigarh and he has been asked to appear before said authority on 02.05.2024. If he appears on the said date alongwith requisite documents, the passport authority would pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law.
