Present petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.148 dated 25.07.2016 under Sections 376/511/509 IPC (the offence punishable under Section 376 IPC has been deleted vide Diary No.20 dated 26.08.2016) registered at Police Station Maur, District Bathinda.

In compliance of order dated 01.06.2017, an affidavit dated 21.07.2017 of Mr. Naveen Singla, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda has been filed in Court today. The same is taken on record subject to just exceptions.

It is mentioned in the said affidavit that incorrect and incomplete Omkar Singh 2017.08.16 18:21 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-42548 of 2016 [2] information was supplied before this Court due to the negligence and incompetence of lady HC Amarjit Kaur 2080/BTA. Departmental proceedings have been initiated against the said officer and it is assured that necessary action shall be taken in accordance with law.

As per affidavit dated 21.07.2017 cancellation report in this case was prepared on 15.01.2017 and it was approved by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda. The cancellation report was presented before the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Talwandi Sabo on 03.07.2017 and has been accepted by the court on 13.07.2017.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2 affirms and verifies that respondent No.2 has not preferred any objections/protest petition against the said cancellation report.

It is thus submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the present petition has been rendered infructuous. Disposed of accordingly.
