The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.94 dated 16.08.2018 registered for the offence under Section 420 IPC and Section 8 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 at Police Station Morinda, District Rupnagar. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.
As per the allegations, the present petitioner along with coaccused had taken `2,20,000/- from the complainant in the name of DSP, Chamkaur Sahib, SSP, Ropar and DA Legal. An inquiry has already been conducted in the present case.
Keeping in view the serious allegations against the present petitioner, who is named in the FIR, and in view of the fact that the HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2018.09.28 14:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
Cr. Misc. No.M-42631 of 2018 [2] petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
