For the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed and the written statement is taken on record. CWP-11756-2019 This is a petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release the Ex-gratia amount on account of death of the husband of the petitioner while performing his duty as Constable with the respondents, as per the policy framed by the Government, with consequential benefits along with interest. Learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that they are processing the case of the petitioner and they would make the necessary payment of the due amount as soon as possible.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take a final decision, and to make the necessary payments, within a period of eight weeks from today.
