***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondent No.4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that respondent No.4-Avtar Singh lodged FIR No.73 dated 18.5.2022, Police Station Chattiwind, District Amritsar, under Sections 379-B of Indian Penal Code and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act, against Balwinder Singh @ Billa, who is brother of petitioner No.1 and son of petitioner No.2. It has been submitted that the police, at the instance of respondent No.4, has now been harassing the petitioners.

( 2 ) CRWP-5201-2022 (O&M) Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural, to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 22.5.2022 (Annexure P-2) examined, so that the same is disposed of expeditiously in accordance with law.
A copy of this order alongwith representation dated 22.5.2022 (Annexure P-2) be sent to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural for necessary compliance.
