The present appeal has been filed seeking enhancement of the compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Jind, vide Award dated 18.10.2018, whereby, the Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.4,26,400/- as compensation along with interest @ 7.5% per annum from the date of filing of the petition till the realization of the amount. 2.

Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the matter stands settled inter se the parties. The Insurance Company has offered to pay a sum of Rs.6,75,000/- over and above the amount awarded by the Tribunal. The said offer has been accepted by the appellants. 3.

In view of the above consensus inter se the parties, the present appeal is partly allowed.

The respondent-Insurance Company shall be bound to pay the enhanced amount in terms of the aforesaid settlement. The parties shall not undergo any further litigation regarding the matter in controvery in the present appeal.
